Hand cut and printed lino print in sunshine yellow and dark ingigo blue
This print is inspired by the processes of printmaking, Japanese woodblock print and my love of birds. Swallows herald the summer and travel the world; they are the most beautiful sight and I always greet their arrival with joy and gratitude.
All my designs have a bit of a magpie attitude to genre and place; a little bit of everything that I see and that inspires me.
I design, draw, cut and print all my pieces in my home studio, inspired by all the things I love; art, movies, pattern, travel, nature, flowers... my head is always spinning with new ideas!
I print on Somerset satin printmaking paper, pressing with a lever press, baren and wooden spoon, using water based inks. All prints are sold unframed for you to choose your presentation style or give as a great gift, presented on recycled board and wrapped in veg cello (plastic free) or tissue.
*Frames and mounts not included - serving suggestions only!
As prints are hand made individually there will always be slight variations in colour and pressure; I try to keep these as minimal as I can, but also see them as part of the unique beauty of hand made prints.
This print is one of an edition of 2 / Paper size 38 x 28.5cm
